Welcome from Justine Chubb our Head of school
I am very proud to be Head of School at Clapham and Patching CofE Primary School.
Set in the South Downs National Park, Clapham and Patching is a small school rooted in theology with big aspirations for all our children. We strive to ensure that every child has a creative and exciting experience as they grow and develop with us and in God.
As a Church of England school, it is important that we provide an education that reflects our core values of 'Community, Integrity, Respect, Resilience and Excellence'. We see our school reflected in the parable of the mustard seed Matthew 13:32
‘The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.’
Matthew 13: 31-32
We welcome children of all faiths and none into our unique setting, and at Clapham and Patching no child is invisible.
We believe that a happy child is a successful one. Our vision is for our children to be confident, creative, kind and responsible individuals who, aspire to achieve their full potential with God. We do this by providing a welcoming, happy, safe and supportive learning environment, in which everyone is equal, can flourish and all achievements are celebrated.
We ‘Learn, Love and Flourish with God’.
Our school is an integral part of the local community and we are regularly out and about walking a 'Wild Mile' through the woods, and taking part in Forest School. We are members of the village Horticultural Society and are busy developing our school garden into a haven for bees and butterflies and have grown our own fruit and vegetables.
As part of the South Downs Education Trust, we work closely with our friends at Worthing high School. This means that the children at Clapham and Patching have access to specialist teachers and frequently visit Worthing High School to share their excellent facilities.
To find out more about us, please call 01903 871214 or email office@claphamandpatching.co.uk to arrange a visit.
We look forward to welcoming you into our amazing little school.
